“Orange Cat Behavior” 2026

I started this piece without knowing where it would go, but I knew it would be a cat. I had a very feisty orange tabby named Zeppy (short for Zeppelin) that I got from my middle school friend’s litter.
She always ended up staying very tiny and turning into a ferocious beast despite sitting on my shoulder while I walked around the house as a kitten. She passed shortly before I began this painting and shortly after I met my friend’s cat on the New Year of 2026 who is a little orange tabby named Cheeto.

An homage to orange cats that are up to no good.
